It is very comfortable. However the smell was atrocious. The recommendation by vendor was to let it air out a couple days due to smell of foam. You will want to let it air out at least 4-5 days. If you put sheets and/or mattress protector on this mattress cover before then, your linens will have the same foam smell and it is almost impossible to get out. It will take multiple washings before the smell dissapate from you linens. If you follow this advice, you will probably be happy with the product. If you are ultra-sensitvie to smells, you may want to avoid product all together.
I was having trouble with my tailbone and although my mattress was less than 2 years old and a pillowtop I felt that I needed extra padding. What is nice about Sleep Better is that it gives the support I need and the cushioning plus it does not add the extra heat that some of the other brands do and in Arizona in the summer we need all the help that we can get!! I would highly recommend this product.
I researched lots of memory foam toppers before purchasing this one. I bought this based on reviews I have read on Amazon, The 2" came in first!!! Too thick is too hot, too thin doesn't do much. I no longer felt movement from my husband that get's up earlier, when I go to bed I don't wake him up. I read other reviews that said it smells and needs to air out for a few days, when we got this I opened it and it did have an odor so we put it out over the edge of the kitchen table and a few chairs to air out, flipped on the other side making sure it had lots of upper and lower air flow (about 8 hours total). I think reviews of people that air it out on the guest room mattress are only airing it out with a one sided air flow so one side is smothered, they flip it (now the mattress has the smell) and the smell goes back to the aired-out side. We had it on the bed that night with no smell and sleeping great with no aches like I had before. Update: 3 weeks later we got a new mattress with the 1 1/2" visco in it and I would love to have my old mattress back with this topper on it instead, I'm going to cut it in half and put it on my side over the new overpriced mattress. This originally went over our basic very old king mattress.
I sleep so much better since I purchased this mattress topper. It's so comfortable I don't want to get out of bed. I was concerned when I first opened it and spread it out on the bed - didn't think it would expand enough to cover the mattress completely but it did. Only took a few hours to expand and the smell dissapated pretty quickly.
